Over-Globalization

Soon, I will probably be traveling to Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, to take part in a protest that will overshadow even the tumultuous Seattle protests of December 1999. A Summit of the Americas trade summit is to be held in that city in late April, and I, along with many others, will travel to that city to take part. What are we protesting, you might ask? Overglobalization: big corporations and governments in bed together working towards one goal - total subversive control of the way the citizenry of the world thinks, eats, lives, and loves. Everything that we call freedom will still exist, but we will not truly be free. My hope is that one day everyone sees and understands this very fact, and acts on it. yes, there is a possibility that I might get arrested, though I will do everything in my power to keep that from happening. There has been a ten fence wall built around the city to keep protesters out, I am told. There is also a good chance that there will be thousands of police who will do all that is in their power, and undoubtedly some that is out, to stop us. Tear gas will be used, and so I'll soon be purchasing a gas mask and nylon clothing, since tear gas sticks to cotton and irritates the skin. I'll be sleeping on the street, so I will bring a sleeping bag and tarp so that I can stay warm. All in all, it will be hell, but well worth it.
